Magnolia Magnifique

“Magnolia Magnifique” glows with the warmth and delicacy of the petals of this regal magnolia. The rich underside of the petals and the cupped petal shape are bought to life with the fine brush stokes further enhancing the gentle petal shape. Rose pink and deep crimson are used to depict the blushing centre of the flower and is enhanced by the very soft inner glow of the three rear petals. This is part of a series of paintings utilising the dark background for added effect.
