"Robyn Anne" - captures the delicate form of pink and deep apricot in this rose..  The soft blend of these rich colours is accentuated by the black background.  The centre of the rose glows with light and this is achieved by the use of deep apricot and soft yellows. This is a very personal painting for the artist as it was painted in memory of a dear friend and reflects her character of strength, but a heart of gold, private but not complicated and mellowing in her later years.  This is part of a series of paintings utilising the dark background for added effect.
